Lesson 1. Introduction.
We are genetically built for existing in tribes, be it workplace or family. A tribe can be defined as a group of about 20 to 150 people involved in your everyday life and social activity. The tribe archives its solidarity through tribal leaders. The leaders build the tribe and execute results by effectively managing the tribe culture. For example, a functional corporate company can be seen as a tribe where people decide how much work needs to be done and the quality of work each individual will contribute. As leadership is mainly focused on the corporate tribe, it consists of administrators, board of directors, managers, etc.
Tribe and its leader are codependent. The tribe accepts the leadership, and leaders update the members of the tribe. Hence, they correspond to each other’s growth. The language of the tribe is essential for enhancing the tribal efforts. It is the role of the leader to help the tribe identify the common tongue of the tribe and make them aware of their collective consciousness.
Each person explores and walks through each stage of leadership. A person might be stuck at a particular stage or realize they are not in the right tribe. They seek out tribes that speak their language eventually. A person becomes a tribal leader only when he/she makes it to the fifth stage. A tribal leader helps the tribe to progress faster through these stages. This results in progress, an effective work environment, and better strategy usage during a crisis.
Each stage has a different theme attached to it. Stage 1 is the realization that life sucks in general. People at this stage are hostile and consider the world to be unfair. Stage 2 is centred around introspection, where people become conscious that it is their individual life that sucks. They believe themselves to be victims and do very little to make it better. They lack the spark for following a passion. At stage 3, they hoard on the knowledge they have acquired. Everything they achieve and follow is personal. They are in constant competition. Stage 4 forms tribal culture where a sense of unity is created. As a tribe, people seek out the competition on par with other companies and aim at meeting targets. Stage 5 is clear vision and leadership. At this point, a tribal leader has encaptivated a tribe and driven them towards efficiency.
Lesson 2. Stage 1.
People in stage 1 feel they are socially alienated from all social groups. They establish their own
