Lesson 1. Enough complaining. No more excuses.
Are you ready to take control of your life? To leave behind everything that is stopping you and start living your dream life? If yes, then the good news is that you can do it right now. You are the director of your life and your life can be exactly how you picture it in your dreams. Failure is a part of life, and more importantly, a step towards success. We often blame our circumstances when we fail. But our success depends on how we respond to these very failures. Your life is a direct reflection of your responses to any situation. For example, imagine that you have been given 400 dollars. You can either spend it or invest it. If you spend it, you will have no money left but if you invest it wisely, you will receive back a lot more than 400 dollars. Pay attention to the choices you are making because they can make you or break you. Ask yourself if your choices are bringing you closer to your dream life. If you want a better physique for yourself, start working for it right away. Do not make any more excuses. Nothing should be more important to you than yourself. No work is more important than working on yourself.
It is not easy. It takes dedication and hard work. It takes persistence and determination. It takes experimentation and perseverance. Remember that you are worth every bit of that hard work.
Lesson 2. Find your purpose in life.
If you are not sure about what you want to do in life, do not worry. You are not alone. Take some time out and contemplate. Ask yourself where you want to see yourself ten years down the line. Identify your strongest personality traits and how they can help you achieve what you visualise for yourself in an ideal world. Create a vision where you use your strongest traits to create your ideal world. Ask yourself the following questions:
What will my perfect job be?
What kind of friends do I want?
How much free time do I want?
Once you have a clear vision of your purpose, make it more planned and organised by planning smaller goals that will bring you closer to that goal. Take concrete steps. Your immediate goals should be detailed and concrete but not vague. For example, “I will be nice to my employees” is not a concrete goal. Instead, plan something concrete like “I will analyse the contributions of my employees and give incentives to them based on that.”
