Lesson 1. Believing in your brain
The foundation of our existence is memory. It influences the quality of our decisions and, as a result, the quality of our lives.
The two most miraculous capabilities of the human mind are learning and remembering. Learning is the ability to absorb new knowledge, while memory is the ability to retain that information over time. All learning is built on the basis of memory. You are simply tossing information down a deep hole, never to be utilised again. The issue is that many individuals have trouble remembering what they've learned, and they're always learning and forgetting.
When you strengthen your memory, everything else improves as well. You can get information faster and more readily, which opens up additional possibilities for connections and correlations. The more data and memories you have properly stored in your brain, the more unique combinations and connections you may form.
Because intelligence is dependent on all of the experiences, people, and knowledge that you can recall, having a better memory improves fundamental intelligence. Because factual information always comes before expertise, the more you remember, the more you can create and do.
You now have two options when it comes to your memory. The first option is believing that you can't increase your memory; there's nothing you can do to change your innate capacity. Many people choose this as their life's decision because, despite hundreds of hours of study, not a single hour is spent teaching you how to improve your incredible memory. Our outstanding brain was never discussed in school.
You will see that this insight is broken up into three sections covering the four keys, or Cs to improving your memory.
- The first section talks about improving your Concentration.
- The second section is about improving your ability to Create imagery and Connecting concepts together.
- The final key is about creating a habit with Continuous use.
These four Cs are the solution to any memory problem that you have or will face in the future.
While going through this insight, there are some excuses that will inevitably pop up in every reader’s head. These are things that we have been conditioned into thinking and believing in. They are:
- I am not smart enough.
- Blaming others for my lack of skills.
- There is too much stress.
Remember they are just excuses. It is not the truth. Change them now. Excusing yourself from experiencing your potential should not
