Lesson 1. Thoughts and Actions.

The book opens with the statement:

The Mind is the master power that molds and makes,

And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes

The tool of thought, and, shaping what he wills,

Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills

Everything in your life, straight from your health to your achievements, is achieved by your thoughts and thoughts alone. All actions are the outcomes of patterns of your thoughts. You should be aware of your power. You should also be willing to take more risks for yourself. Realize that you can improve your circumstances by simply changing your thoughts. In his thought-world, each man holds the key to every condition, all the good or bad, that enters into his life. By working patiently and intelligently upon his thoughts, he may remake his life, and transform his circumstances.

Your life is what you make it to be. Change isn't an external factor. To make changes, your actions should stem from your thoughts. Your actions are determined by your thoughts, which in turn impact your consequences.  You can change your lives by mastering your thoughts. Thoughts are like seeds planted in our minds and each thought of ours paves way for our actions. These actions form patterns and those patterns shape our character.

"For as the thoughts of his heart are, so is he"

Lesson 2. Effect of Thought on Circumstances.

Circumstances can influence the thoughts of a person and his mindset.  When someone faces a huge setback in their life, they instantly start blaming the external circumstances that resulted in their failure. In a way, people find it easier to blame something else instead of taking it upon them. But in a way, your thoughts attracted the negative results. So, your thoughts are also to be blamed for the misfortune you face. Unknowingly, you have failed to uncover your thoughts and encouraged the negative events to happen. Personal circumstances can be improved by changing one's thoughts.

We shouldn't evaluate a person completely just by observing his present state. All humans are made of both positive and negative things. But we shouldn't make the mistake of judging a person solely by his outward appearance. One can appear to be naïve and innocent, but that doesn't mean he only thinks pleasant thoughts. The majority of one's thoughts play a dominant role in making up the mindset and personality. Only by rooting out all the negative and harmful thoughts from your mind, you will be able to influence your
