Lesson 1.  Mentally Strong People Do Not Waste Time Feeling Sorry for Themselves.

Pain and sorrow are part of our lives. Although, sadness is a normal and healthy emotion, digging into your sorrow and misfortune is self-destructive. If you waste your time feeling sorry for yourself, then you tend to behave in the following manner:

  1. Think that your problems are worse than everyone else's.
  2. Be sure that no one knows how difficult your life is.
  3. Feel that others are blessed with easier lives.
  4. Focus more on the negative aspects instead of the positive ones.
  5. Complaining about life not being fair to you.
  6. Wondering whether the world is conspiring against you.

Though self-pity is toxic and damaging, people consider it a comfortable cocoon to hide in. With time, self-pity evolves into an act of defiance. It makes us believe that we can change something if we feel miserable and remind the universe that we deserve better. But this is not how the world functions. No one has the authority to give you a fair share of life. It has to be YOU, because you are the one accountable for your decisions.

Lesson 2. Mentally Strong People Do Not Give Away Their Power.

Giving away the power you have, is losing your freedom. If you have this habit of giving away your power, then you are more likely to do the following:

  1. Become intolerant to any kind of negative feedback irrespective of the source.
  2. Other people can drive your anger to a level where you overreact at the things they do.
  3. Other people can easily trick you into doing something even if you are reluctant to do it.
  4. Much of your self-worth lies in whether other people are seeing you in a positive light.
  5. You always complain about the things that you have to do in your life.
  6. You struggle to set boundaries but then become resentful towards those who you think are bothering you.

Having power means being confident in who you are, under any circumstances. We don't realize this, but every time we avoid saying no to something we don't want, we are giving away our power. We don’t put any effort to fulfil our necessities. This way we are permitting other people to control us.

When you give away your power you start to
