Lesson 1. Introduction.
One of the common traits of human nature is our tendency to push back reality. We do not really enjoy the present because we are so busy living in the past or in the future. We keep worrying too much; sometimes not even knowing what’s bothering us. Worrying about important stuff is alright. It’s the equivalent of being nervous every now and then. But the important issue most people often face is over thinking; which ultimately leads to their so-called worrying.
Worrying does no good to anyone. The most important thing people fail to understand is that worry is not a given. By practicing certain techniques, the issue can be reduced and avoided. Small changes have huge impacts which can help in leading a peaceful life. So, how to stop worrying you ask? Read on to know more about how worrying can be tackled and how to lead your life with ease, happiness, and wisdom.
Lesson 2. Worrying is Harmful.
Constant worrying can take a serious toll on your mental health and also your physical health. There are medical cases that suggest worrying can increase the likelihood of your insanity and also conditions like diabetes. Too much worry on a daily basis prompts a serious response. It leads to serious mental health issues like anxiety disorders and panic attacks. Over a long period of time, stress can cause respiratory disorders, heart related problems and gastrointestinal disease.
In many cases, anxiety can also lead to destructive habits like smoking, drug use, overconsumption of alcohol, and overeating; all of which can compound to health problems. High pressure jobs can also result in high stress levels of a person. If the stress levels increase drastically, it could lead to issues like ulcers or heart failures. For example, Arthritis is one of the most common conditions brought on by worry. The two leading causes for arthritis are financial woes and marital shipwrecks- both of which are worry-related.
The health effects of fear and worry can be quite serious. But a deep desire to banish these negative thought patterns can help individuals avoid their deleterious health effects.
Think of your life as an hourglass. You know there are thousands of grains of sand in the top of the hourglass; and they all pass slowly and evenly through the narrow neck in the middle. Nothing you or I could do would make more than one grain of sand pass through this narrow neck without impairing the hourglass. You and I, and everyone else are like this hourglass. If we do not take tasks one at a time and let them pass
